Telefriuli
Telefriuli entrusted Rubidia with the design and implementation of all technological systems for the new headquarters in Feletto Umberto (UD).
Telefriuli is an historic television broadcaster located in Friuli Venezia Giulia, active since 1978 and a key reference point for local news and the promotion of the region. With an increasingly more multimedia-oriented programming strategy and a growing audience, the company decided to invest in a new headquarters designed to support both current and future production and broadcasting needs.
The Challenge: Relocating to the New Headquarters
The relocation to the new headquarters represented a particularly strategic and delicate phase for Telefriuli: the creation of a completely new, modern and highly integrated broadcast infrastructure, while simultaneously ensuring uninterrupted programme transmission.
The objective was to develop a scalable and reliable technological environment capable of supporting advanced IP workflows, production automation and centralized management of technical resources, without affecting the broadcaster’s day-to-day operations.

What we did
We managed the entire project, overseeing the design, integration and commissioning of the new broadcast infrastructure, while coordinating the companies involved in the implementation of the electrical systems, studio set design and related activities. The result is a modern technological ecosystem built around full-IP workflows, automation and maximum operational reliability.
01.
The project included the complete implementation of the broadcaster’s new technical infrastructure, including:
- 2 television studios
- 2 production control rooms
- master control room
- server room
- three network distribution nodes
- IP / VoIP / RF infrastructure for offices and newsrooms
Rubidia also designed and built the server room rack cabinets and the technical room consoles.
02.
The entire infrastructure was developed using Dante and NDI technologies, enabling a modern, flexible and distributed management of audio and video signals.
At the same time, a highly structured fibre optic backbone was implemented, designed to ensure reliability, modularity and future scalability.
03.
Through our News Archive software, in addition to the traditional functionalities already in use in the previous facility, further automations and control features were integrated, including:
- PTZ camera management
- teleprompter
- studio and control room cue lights
- DMX lighting control
This integration made it possible to centralize and streamline numerous production and operational processes within the broadcaster.
Results
The project was completed ensuring full continuity of television broadcasting throughout all phases of the migration to the new headquarters. The main results achieved include:
